165 Waltham St is the perfect home to grow up in.

Each of the large bedrooms is big enough for several children. Boys and girls alike love the working S-scale model train set on the bedroom ceiling. The sun room has been carpeted to make it comfortable for all-day playing. The basement family room is an additional comfortable place for families to hang out together. The yard is big enough for a soccer game with all of the neighborhood children, and the patio is perfect for bikes and scooters. Safety features include child protection locks on all the windows and a motion detector alarm system so you know if you have a little wanderer. Light-blocking shades in the nursery and a dimmer make that room especially tranquil.

There are 5 excellent pre-schools within walking distance.  The elementary school (Franklin) and middle school (Day) are both short walks away. Other parts of Newton ain't got nothin' on West Newton when it comes to playgrounds! You could go to a different one every day of the week. Some have spray parks, others have separate areas for smaller children, and at one, free lunches are handed out every day in the summer. Speaking of summer, the ice cream man drives by 165 Waltham St. every day around 4:00, and there is an excellent day camp within throwing distance. Neighborhood children range from infants to teen-agers and you don't need to get on the phone to find someone to play with...just step outside.
